On World Fair Trade Day, Saturday 9 May the Oxfam Shop in Launceston will hold its coffee break from 11.00am with coffee and chocolate tastings and information.
Come in and enjoy the flavours of the world!!!
MAKE POVERTY HISTORY Make Poverty History campaigning now in store...come in and purchase a wristband or sticker for $2, or perhaps a T-shirt for $30. Sign the petition to urge the government to live up to their promise of helping to halve world poverty by 2015 by acting on the Millenium Development Goals.
Let people know where you stand on world poverty and social justice issues. Wear a t-shirt, or bag it with our non-sweat shop laptop bag or simply choose our campaign wristbands. You can make a difference.
The Make Trade Fair Campaign aims to build a worldwide movement of people who want to see real change.
You can support the campaign by buying coffee from East Timor, Nicaragua and Columbia, tea from India and Laos, and fair trade chocolate and cocoa.
We're looking for volunteers Would you like to donate time rather than money towards a worthwhile Australian Aid Organisation? Would you like to learn valuable sales and marketing skills? Would you like to help bring economic and social justice to developing communities around the world?
You may have retail experience (although not essential) and can work anytime including weekends.
If this sounds like you and you would like to join in and experience the feeling of creating a difference, then contact your nearest shop and we will give you information on how you can become involved.
