Special Somethings...

La Chamba Cookware

Organic, sustainable and fair trade. Can’t get much better than that. This unique cookware can be used over direct heat on the stove top (gas or electric), in the oven, under the grill, on the BBQ and over open flame. It’s production history dates back at least 700 years in Columbia.
Each piece is hand crafted and polished with stones. When fired the tiny particles of mica in the clay fuse to form a glass like substance which is what gives each piece it’s unique sheen but unlike most pottery, it retains its porous finish which explains its fantastic heat retention. These slow cook pots and serving dishes are easy care and would look great at any feast filled dining table or for a unique one pot meal for the family.

Ceramics from Peru

By producer group Allpa (meaning earth) these beautiful Peruvian ceramics come to your local Oxfam shop. This Producer has been around since 1985 and reaches approximately 2000 families from the Andes to the Amazon. With striking colours and a mix between geometric and organic design these pieces would look fantastic in the modern home or as part of an eclectic collection.

Why not grab a couple of pieces to achieve your own look or pick one up for that unique gift whist supporting a long standing producer that is helping so many do what they are so skilled at.
