Jasmine tea is originally a Chinese blossom tea, smooth with a nice aroma. This tea however is a blend from the Gordon Tea estate and small tea growers from the high country in Sri Lanka. This combination is unique since most tea in the world comes from large estates only. The tea small holders are for a large part women, who produce the tea and earn the basic income for their family while their husbands often work elsewhere as contract workers.
