Lacquer Box

Lacquer ware is a Vietnamese craft dating back to the 8th century and continued today by Mai Handicrafts of Ho Chi Minh City. Lacquer from a tree found only in the Vinh Phu province of Vietnam gives the unique deep colour and durability that distinguishes Vietnamese lacquer ware. The two bowls and a lid can be stacked to make the shape of a girl. The set comes in various colours with black inside. 15cm high x11.5cm diameter.
