Just like that little black dress you have to have, ducks are an essential item. The gift of ducks helps families in Mozambique by providing eggs, which in turn produce more ducks, and eggs, and of course they can then also be sold to create an income. So our feathered friends are not only practical, they make financial sense too.
How does this gift help?
These ‘cool’ ducks are helping families in Mozambique with eggs that they can eat and sell at the market. What’s more eggs can turn into more ducks, which in turn produce more eggs! Many of the people who receive a duck are carers for family members, orphans or vulnerable children affected by HIV and AIDS. The gift of a duck can be of huge assistance to these families and help lift part of the burden they face in their lives. “The distribution of ducks to vulnerable households provides an alternative source of income and an improved diet.
