The Indigenous Grandmothers’ Group brings together Indigenous female elders. Through the group, these elders are able to pass on their cultural history and provide advice to young Indigenous people. So, help those in the know and support them as they create positive change.
How does this gift help?
The Wellness Circle Grandmothers’ Group brings together Indigenous female Elders. The Elders pass on their cultural history, knowledge and life experience, and provide advice to young Indigenous people. Young people who join the group are supported to make choices that positively impact their lives. Discussions are informal and the younger participants are encouraged to maintain strong links with their culture, continue their education and make good decisions about their health. “The grandmothers’ groups give young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women the opportunity to learn more about their heritage.
