The cultural heritage of Egypt is seen in this greeting card and the enclosed bookmark featuring a hand-painted swirl of flowers on papyrus paper.
Once the Chinese invention of papermaking had reached Egypt the use of papyrus was largely forgotten for a thousand years. It was revived in the 20th century and is now being maintained by groups like the makers of this card and bookmark, Jirmit Papyrus Center in Upper Egypt.
The card is blank for your own message. It measures12x19cm and comes with an envelope.
The bookmark measures 5x18cm, is enclosed in a plastic sleeve and has the same hand-painted design as the card.
