Traditional Bolga baskets from Ghana.
Genuine Bolga Baskets are synonymous with the villages Gambigo, Nyarga and Sumbrungu in Bolgotanga, Northern Ghana. The baskets are expertly hand-woven from local elephant grass and brightly coloured by using vegetable dyes. They can be easily re-shaped by wetting and assaging back into shape by hand.
Strong and sturdy, with a distinctive sheep leather handle, these beautiful baskets are great for the market, the beach, towels in the bathroom, toys ....
