Our new selection of wine will be available at the end of August
Two each of:
Primo Estate 2007 La Biondina – Adelaide Plains
We’ve been fortunate to have Joe Grilli’s support in previous offers and much to everyone’s excitement he is again now. This wine is adored by fans and soon adopted by newcomers -and is a very drinkable wine with notes of tropical fruits and fruit salad. It is simply delicious – ice cold by itself or with Thai or Malaysian foods,
Zontes Footstep 2005 Viognier – Langhorne Creek
Zontes Footstep is a collaborative between some of the best in their field – winemaking, viticulture etc. They have a simple mission – to make great (and fun) wines. Mission accomplished. This viognier is an easy drinking treat. Wonderful peachy, apricot notes that are a great match for tempura food (pork, chicken, seafood) and a good dipping sauce.
Beelgara 2007 Rascal’s Prayer Sauvignon Blanc – South East Australia
Don’t we just love our Sauvignon Blancs! This has all the right stuff that you’d expect from something much more expensive. Herbaceous notes that are uplifting and clean crisp tastes that just sit right at home with food like Larb Chicken or Pork salads– or anything you really fancy!
Eden Springs 2003 Shiraz – Eden Valley
It’s a treat to be able to get support from wineries and bring you wines like this. Already cellared at the winery for you this Shiraz will bring delight to the wine drinker and connoisseur alike. A deep, broody purple with a nose of leather, cedar and spice with a taste that demands you take some time, sit down and enjoy it. Food – something serious.
Hillsview 2004 Shiraz Cabernet – McLaren Vale
Brick red in colour, this blend is meant for those who enjoy drinking wine. Peppery oak on the nose with a smooth flowing, almost creamy taste. ‘Rounded edges’ springs to mind – nothing to catch you by surprise. It’ll satisfy and more – especially if you match it with some good conversation, friends and food!
Tiddy Widdy Well 2005 Shiraz Cabernet Merlot – South East Australia
Aside from having a quite amusing story on the back label (which describes the name and its comments about assisting with crabbiness), this wine is another of those great blends of varietal wines that make Australian wine so approachable. A dusty, earthy truffley nose with a full palatte including tobacco, oak and red berries.
