Premium Red Dozen
#0C9072 $198.00
Our new selection of wine will be available at the end of August
Three each of:
Lindfield Road 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon – Barossa Valley
From the Southern Barossa (who knew there was a Southern Barossa?) this Cabernet gets some of the much cooler climate characters that the great Cabernets have. It’s going on for 4 years old now so the hard yards have been done in the winery’s cellar. Fine tannin structure and typical varietal characters make Autumn and coming winter easier to get into.
Dog Ridge 2006 Cadenzia Grenache – McLaren Vale
BIG – many think of Grenache as a ‘lighter style’ – think again! Moody purple with a nose of stewed plums, chocolate and tobacco. A mouth full of vanilla, spice and smoky full fruit – put this with some smokey ribs and enjoy the rest. A pat on the back to McLaren Vale Grenache.
Temple Bruer 2005 Shiraz Malbec – Langhorne Creek
100% Certified Organic Wine
Shiraz Malbec is a classic blend of fruit that seems to suit the Langhorne Creek region so well. Crafting it from 100% Organic Fruit seems to push the boundaries out that bit further – something David Bruer has long sought to do. Dark cherries and the like give a big rounded mouthful that is a sheer delight with any BIG food.
Beelgara Regional Reserve 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon - Coonawarra
Good Cabernet from the right region really is a treat – and the Coonawarra’s name was built on fruit and wines like this one. There is a real earthy character to this Cabernet that reminds you it is made from premium region grapes. Get hold of a rack(s!) of lamb, slow roast and enjoy a Saturday night with friends this autumn (and winter!!)
