We source our wines from small to medium-size Australian wineries, many of them family owned. These enterprises don't have access to the vast distribution chains that now dominate retail wine sales in Australia. Some wines in the selection may be found in good wine shops while others are available only at the cellar door. However, by offering the wines by mail order through Oxfam Shop we are widening the wineries' horizons. And in case you are wondering, the wines don't come with a generic Oxfam Shop label but bear the label of the winery of origin.
The winemakers appreciate this opportunity to broaden their market just as we appreciate their cooperation. Together with your support they are helping Oxfam Shop to bring self-respect and prospects of continuing employment to producer partners in some 35 developing countries around the world.
